Assist Access / Maintain Employ

Meaningful work starts with confidence and confidence starts with the right support.

Work can bring purpose, routine, connection and independence. At Care 4 Everyone, our Assist Access / Maintain Employ support helps NDIS participants work towards their employment goals, build workplace readiness and stay engaged in their roles. We work alongside you and with employers where appropriate so that your strengths and goals stay at the centre of every step.

What Is Assist Access / Maintain Employ?

Assist Access/Maintain Employ is NDIS employment support that helps participants achieve and sustain meaningful work. It is designed for people who would like to explore employment, prepare for it, take steps towards it or keep a role that they already have.

Every person begins in a different place. Some participants are thinking about work for the first time. Others are ready to look for a job or they are working and would like extra support to feel settled and confident.

Our support is tailored to each participant. We focus on building confidence, developing skills and preparing for the workplace. We also help participants work through barriers so that they can take part in work that suits their goals and strengths.

Building Confidence for Employment

Confidence often makes the biggest difference when it comes to work. Walking into a new environment, meeting new people or speaking with an employer can feel like a big step.

We begin with you. We talk about what you enjoy, what you are good at and what kind of work interests you. From there, we plan practical steps that match your abilities, preferences and goals.

Our support is respectful and paced to suit you. Through preparation, coaching and mentoring, we help you build skills and workplace readiness so that you feel more capable and more prepared for the work you would like to do.

Support With Maintaining Employment

Starting a job is an achievement. Staying engaged in it can bring new challenges and support may help you manage them with confidence.

Support with maintaining employment may include:

  • On the job coaching to help you settle into your role
  • Ongoing mentoring so that you have someone to talk to as your work life develops
  • Working through barriers that affect your participation at work
  • Building your skills as your role continues
  • Communicating with your employer where appropriate so that your workplace remains accessible and inclusive

The aim is to help you sustain meaningful work and build independence in your role.
